Digital Forensics

Digital Forensics Workshop

Presenter: Genevieve McGinty, Intelligent Computer Forensics, Inc.

When: Monday May 20th

Time: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

You are a digital forensic examiner at the local crime lab for your jurisdiction. You have just been handed one item of evidence (a 2 GB thumb-drive)  which was obtained during the search of a suspect pursuant to an arrest. The arresting officer has requested that you quickly review the evidence and report back any findings which may be related to the original crime and any other crimes in which the suspect may have been involved.

In this scenario driven workshop you will be introduced to the tools and methodologies used by real-world digital forensic examiners to process digital media.  Starting with the Chain of Custody form, all the way to reporting your findings.
