Law Enforcement Panel

Information security professionals are protecting much more than just ones and zeros. In the 11-1/2 years between the 9-11 terrorist attack and the attack at the Boston Marathon, US Law Enforcement has been doing all it can to prevent a multitude of attacks on American soil, including cyber attacks. Laws have been modified and passed, giving law enforcement more capabilities to discover and thwart other potential attacks. However, as the laws strengthen security, there is an accompanying degradation of privacy. In the spirit of learning how to best protect our valuable assets, our law enforcement panel will discuss the latest trends in law enforcement technology, current and pending legislation, application of these laws, and the rights issues that surround them.
