ISSA-LA Community Outreach Program
The Los Angeles Chapter of the Information Systems Security Association is implementing our Community Outreach Program in response to the need for our community to better protect itself from cyber crime.
Our Community Outreach Program, along with this web site, reflects our vision that it takes the village to secure the village℠
Even as we’re starting small, our vision is huge and we invite you to join our Community.
Ways to Get Involved
If you’re an information security or IT professional, or if you’re in a related discipline, such as cyber law enforcement, please consider contributing to the Resource Section of our web site.
If you’re an educational institution offering information security courses and programs, please let us know so we can include you on our site.
If you’re looking for information on a specific information security topic and you don’t find it on our site, please contact us. Our members are experienced in all the various information security disciplines and we’ll try to provide professional guidance.
If you’re an information security or IT solutions provider or vendor, we invite you to sponsor one of our events. We offer sponsorships for our general membership meetings, our nationally-recognized annual Information Security Summit, as well as special events like Dodgers-Night-Out.
If you’re concerned about the security of sensitive information in our community, we invite you to become a Community Sponsor. We want to partner with:
- Financial institutions
- Commercial insurance companies
- Professional services firms
- Digital content creators
- Telecommunication companies
- Internet Service Providers
- The IT industry
- Foundations supporting the operational needs of our not-for-profit communities
- Foundations with technology-related missions
- Government and NGOs having an aligned mission
Building Community Together
Join us in our endeavors to provide a community forum bringing together the men and women who protect the sensitive information in our businesses, not-for-profits and government organizations, to share our knowledge, know-how, and understanding, in the wisdom that no one is as smart as everyone.
Join us in our campaign to raise executive awareness among our business and community leaders — the men and women who run our businesses, not-for-profits and government organizations—in the knowledge that if they better understand what’s going on and what they need to do about it, they can better manage their organization’s cyber security challenges.
Join our village.
